Bicycle

Recently, I ride on the bicycle about once in a week, since I bought it last May.
This will be my new hobby, but quite hard to find the time to go somewhere, because I still seek the time to play golf as well. So I try to get up early morning and go for cycling, as long as I could slept well.
It's not the means of commuting to my office at the moment (about 5 min by walk from our naval flat), but I will cycle to my office if I posted on the Ministry of defence (will takes one and a half hour by bicycle) in the future, that is my contract with my wife.

Triathlon

On 9th May, Kengo challenged to triathlon which consists of 900m swim, 31.0km bike and 12.4km run. The weather was fine with bit hot, and Kengo successfully to reach the goal. This picture is not shown his time, actually this time was still counting. He was very satisfied with the time about 2:30'.

Visitors

We have some good visitors during Golden Week. Everyone enjoyed the tour of this Air base. But we have much trouble after dinner until morning.

It was so nice view from Control Tower, probably the best place to see the fire works in summer.

Moved to Tateyama

On 25th March, we were moved to Tateyama Air Base in Chiba prefecture. It was so short stay in Maizuru that less one year.

The new place is much closer to Tokyo, so it's very happy with Mutsumi.

Kengo posted in 21 Flight Squadron, the call sign is "Black Jack", you know why the name comes from.

Last drink with friends in Maizuru

On 11th Mar, we have a drink party with old classmates. We really enjoyed drinking. Some of them will move from Maizuru on this month, surprisingly, including us! It was so short notice, that we prepare a lot of things for move, how terrible personal planning! Now we are busy for packing.

Kobe collection.

We went to Kobe to cheer our niece who appeared as a model at the Kobe collection, one of the biggest fashion show in Japan.

We felt that we got much energy, after we joined the full of lively show among very young audience.

They are our nieces. The left; elder sister is model. She'd appeared two successive days of different fashion show, what a vigorous girl!

First Golf

On 1st Mar, we played the frist golf in this year with Kengo's colleagues.

We chose this CC in Sanda, is about 70km south from Maizuru. The snow was already melted and weather was sunny with very clear blue sky. But we met a lot of pollens from cedar, so we were in much trouble about hay fever. I think a lots of flies in Australia are better than this.

Of course, we made so badly score and had enjoying time.

Lamb dinner

Since we'd been in Australia, we love to eat lamb very much. However, it's quite difficult to get it in here, Maizuru.

Today,26 Feb, we got it from ISETAN, the department store two hours faraway by car, and enjoyed yammy taste.

Incidentally, it was priced AUD 37.00 by 8 chops, wasn't it so expensive?

On this incovenient condition, we are looking forward to someone send us a nice lamb.

Singapore trip

We went to Singapore from 7th to 10th Jan.


















Mark, Angelyn and Noelle took care of us super well during our stay.


We didn't know the durian is so nice taste.

We learnt the name of variety of durian.


The smell is not so strong, but fruity.

If you misunderstanding about this smell, please believe us. "Let's try to eat!"










There are a lots of local yammy foods near their home.


We were always eating too much in every meals.
The chili crab was absolutely delicious! But, it made our hands very dirty.


This is our most recommend dish.






Maa, maa, maa... Otto, tto, tto...

This is Japanese business style, pouring the beer each other.











We went to the Little India, and bought a lots of Indian ingridients and stuffs. That was very very cheap.


















At the Raffles Hotel.

The Long Bar, the birthplace of Singapore sling, we finally tasted the original one.

















This bar is famous for free peanuts and should litter its shells on the floor.

It's looks very wild, but very interesting rule!

I didn't drink too much last night.














When back to our home, we had some trouble. There were a lots of snow, and we had some weight.


But our holiday in Singapore was so fantastic that made us forgotten from such trouble.

We are filled up of feeling of gratitude to Tan's family, thanks!
